Town Hall Meetings
January 29, 2005 Town Meeting
Water Issues
How Secure is Our Drinking Water?
Come to the town hall meeting and find out where we stand, ask questions, be informed.
The changes that have been lingering and anticipated are beginning to emerge within our community. While storage sheds and affordable housing are being built and a Town Square and new downtown are being planned, there are more subtle changes that will prove to be even more important over time. Water has rapidly emerged as the issue of the decade. Water wars have already begun in Sonoma County and they will affect life in Forestville.
The issues that will be addressed include:
* An update on the proposed Low Flow for the Russian River
* Water shortages throughout the county and how they will affect Forestville
* Our new sewer district
* Water issues and the General Plan
* Green Valley Creek
This will be an invaluable discussion on how secure is our drinking water, and how will changes in our river, and our water and sewer capacities influence future growth and life in Forestville. Please join us! By staying educated on proposed changes, we can influence their direction.
The meeting will also include:
* An update on the designing of our Town Square
* New developments in Forestville
Be an active participant in your community, meet your neighbors and assure that your opinions are heard.
