California, Measure D
Infrastructure Repair Bond Measure (November 2022)
Many people in Forestville have been confused about Measure D on the ballot November 8, 2022.
The Forestville Planning Association is not suggesting which way to vote for it but rather to help simplify some of the confusing language.
[ ] A “yes” vote supports authorizing the Forestville Elementary School district to issue $6.5 million in bonds at legal interest rates, levying $0.02 per $100 in assessed value while bonds are outstanding, to repair school infrastructure, support student programs, and reduce energy costs.
[ ] A “no” vote opposes authorizing the Forestville Elementary School district to issue $6.5 million in bonds at legal interest rates, levying $0.02 per $100 in assessed value while bonds are outstanding, to repair school infrastructure, support student programs, and reduce energy costs.
To figure out how much you might pay:
Look at your current tax bill. There is an area called County Values, Exemptions and Taxes. At the bottom of the section it lists Net Taxable Value.
Using this figure, do this:
Net Taxable Value (first box) X 2% ÷ 100 = $School Bond amount.
The assessed value is not what you could sell your house for. And it isn’t the value you would get from an appraiser in the process to sell or do a refi of your house.
