Downtown Oaks Park Restoration Project

Fall 2022
A restoration project is underway at the lower portion of the Downtown Forestville Oaks Park. This is the area designated by Open Space as riparian and kept undeveloped so our birds, critters and bees have a safe place to hang out. Please honor the request to stay off that area so the reseeding of native grasses will have a chance to survive.

Thanks to volunteer Sean Bressie of Sonoma County Mowing and Tractor Service for all his hard work on this important project. He even put down gravel so the shortcut path won’t get muddy when the rains finally come. He is amazing and does great work. Forestville is fortunate to have his help.
