New Trash Can Bins in the Downtown Forestville Oaks Park
We know – not everyone gets excited about trash cans but these will be a vast improvement in keeping the park tidy.
The FPA Board recently installed three new trash can bins in the Downtown Forestville Oaks Park after years of discussion on what would work best. These bins have a narrower opening so that folks inclined to get rid of their household trash at the park will be discouraged from doing so. Remember this is a private park owned by the citizens of Forestville and managed by the FPA and its wonderful volunteers.
The FPA received mitigation funds from both local quarries with which to award community grants and help pay for maintenance at the park.
Thanks to the generosity of John Kiriakopolos, who built the concrete pads and Sean from Sonoma Mow who helped transport all the material, we now have a much better solution to the messy cans we had before!
