Lucy and Max Broome had the grand idea that our town could purchase the land downtown that had gone into foreclosure. Through lots of effort and fundraising, we did it.

It may never have occurred to us if Lucy had not been thinking creatively. She continues to be the champion of our downtown community gathering place, as well as fosters community projects, and represents Forestville on the Lower Russian River Municipal Advisory Council, AND is president of the Forestville Planning Association.
