Vesta Copestakes

By Vicki Lee Clewes
I moved here from San Francisco just over 2 years ago and I knew I wanted to get involved in local politics and community organizations. I joined, then as a community member later as a representative for Hacienda, a Municipal Advisory Council Ad Hoc focused on community clean up.

I was introduced to Vesta and knew right away that, not only did she have amazing energy and commitment, but she also had an incredible grasp of community issues and history.

And she has been so generous in sharing her knowledge and passion about all things important to our Lower Russian River with me and others. She is a tremendous reader and always tries to investigate all sides of our complex issues. She shares her ideas and solutions without worrying about credit. She simply wants our piece of heaven to work better for all.

In addition to all of the above, she takes time everyday to feed the legions of stray cats near the river and has been instrumental in uniting owners with their lost fur babies!

Thank you Vesta for all you do for our community.
