Community Fund

Awards are given for local projects that will enhance downtown Forestville and/or provide community benefit in the Forestville area (the 95436 zip code).
Established in 2007 by the FCF is funded primarily by annual contributions from the Bodean Company and Canyon Rock Quarry. FCF awards are to encourage new programs, projects, activities or special needs rather than to supplement regular operating expenses.
For learn about past projects, click on the years listed above. The Application Process, Application Form and the FCF history are also seen in the links above.
Applications are reviewed by the FCF Advisory Committee, which represents a wide range of community interests such as schools, seniors, the FPA, the Chamber of Commerce, the Youth Park and other interested citizens. It then recommends which projects to fund to the Board of the Forestville Planning Association.
In evaluating grant applications, the Committee gives priority to those projects that include one or more of the following: impact the most people; can “match” dollars from other sources; involve collaboration with other groups or projects; and have a volunteer component.
