Thank You for Signing Up for the Email List

Thanks for signing up for Forestville Planning Association’s emails for updates.

If you haven’t already, make sure to confirm your email address when you get the confirmation email from us. You have to do what is called “double opt-in” to receive the bulk emails FPA sends out. This keeps other people (you may or may not know) signing you up for things you don’t want.

If you think you might have signed up but don’t remember getting any emails, you can try to sign up again. The system will tell you if you have already signed up. You can also try with another email address you own. Then, if you are getting doubles, just unsubscribe at the bottom of the email you receive.

Here are some areas of the FPA site which might be of interested to you:

Downtown Park – This major project started with a casual conversation sometime prior to 2012 overheard about an 8 acre piece of land for sale in downtown Forestville. Many meetings later with local and state government officials, banks, community leaders, lawyers, landscape designers, engineers and just plain folk, the FPA was able to secure this park for generations to come. So many contributed big time. All the photos in this section are from the park land at different times of the year.

The Blog – Every month Lucy Hardcastle writes a column for the Sonoma County Gazette. We reprint it on this site. There are other stories mixed into the blog, as well.

Forestville Community Fund – Since 2007, made grants to over 75 organizations and individuals for local projects which in some way enhance downtowned Forestville and/or provide community benefit in the Forestville area (the 95436 zip code). Make sure to read about the funded projects on the Grants Awarded page.

Volunteer – The FPA is always looking for people to help take care of our town. Fill out the form and let us know your skills and become part of this great organization.

The History of Forestville – Did you know there was a Forestville Historical Society founded in 1999? It disbanded about 2 years ago but the FPA decided to create a section for the wonderful images and stories that the historical society for all those years. You will recognize a lot of the buildings, streets and family names listed in the Photo Gallery.
